Subtopia: Kathy Tycholis and Carie Helm
May 28 - July 3, 2010

Subtopia (noun) - monotonous urban sprawl of standardized buildings. Blend of suburb + utopia.

Kathy Tycholis' and Carie Helm's joint exhibition features socially relevant art installation that comments on urban sprawl and the D.I.Y. culture in the spirit of Arte Provera. Tycholis and Helm are multi-talented artists working in a variety of media including sculpture, Haiku, 2D and audio art.  An interactive map of the Tri-Cities will complete the exhibition highlighting specific locations of development in the area.
