Gregg Simpson has been a fixture of the Vancouver art scene since the 1960s. He combines surrealism and abstraction to create a fusion of figure and landscape which arises directly from the visceral process of mark making and automatism. The exhibition features large scale paintings from three of his recent series Island Passages, Improvised Landscapes and Personal Totems. Check out Gregg's video from the opening.
