In 2009, over 68,000 people visited Evergreen Cultural Centre. This number not only included attendance to performances in the Theatre, but also the school children and teachers who toured the Art Gallery and participated in our school programs. It included business associates registered in seminars and workshops, couples enrolled in salsa lessons, young choristers at practice, actors in rehearsal. It included the hundreds of volunteers increasingly necessary to make things run smoothly at events and the many more who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Those who can't lend us their time, assist us in other ways through donations and in-kind support.
What do they all have in common? An affinity to a place, a love for the arts, an interest to learn, a sense of community…You could say the common element is that they are part of the Evergreen family. They contribute to the Big Picture. And, for this we are extremely grateful.
As we entre the next decade, fulfilling our mandate offers even more challenges. We are growing, the community is growing. We need even more support for NEW intiatives and others that require continued reinforcement. Below are just a few of the areas that need your attention:
