MOVE: the company Tools for Cutting / Trap Door Party November 6, 2010 at 8pm

MOVE: the company, under the artistic direction of Josh Beamish , is Vancouver's newest professional dance company. Focusing mainly on contemporary jazz dance, the company is dedicated to performing new, exciting and challenging works for audiences across North America. The company also aims to include collaborators from other arts forms, such as video, music, spoken word and theatre, through involvement in the creative process. The full evening presentation includes two works by Josh Beamish. Tools for Cutting (2010), a quasi-autobiographical piece, examines the relationship between men and sporting equipment. Trap Door Party (2007) is an abstract narrative look at six individuals as they leave everything behind to start their own utopian society. MOVE: the company promises to provide a performance experience the audience won't soon forget!
