Barney, Tom and Shari came together out of a love for each others' music, and the sheer joy of sitting down and playing songs together.  They draw from all parts of their respective careers from Shari's Fear of Flying with the Hometown Band to Barney's new single Hold My Heart; from Legendary Hearts classics to brand new songs brought to the group to find their way, like Shari's Now You’re Gone (now on her new album), and Tom's The Girls We're Blind from his upcoming third CD.  There's even a couple of covers of songs that they do just because they love them.  It's collaboration at its best - done out of the simple joy of playing songs and sharing them with everyone else in the room.

John Mann, best known as Spirit of the West front man and songwriter, strips down to his alt-folk roots in this one-man show at Evergreen.  A 25 year veteran of the Vancouver music scene, Mann’s recent album, December Looms, is “a quiet gem of a recording, filled with beautiful melodies and observational insight”.   Yukon native, Kim Barlow opens for Mann. The folk singer taught herself to play the banjo beside a campfire and from there embarked on an eccentric musical career that has taken her from Inuvik to the UK; and from Martha’s Vineyard to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. Playing guitar, banjo, and cello, the Juno nominee creates complex and unexpected settings for her songs with unmistakable traces of Joni Mitchell in her delivery.
