Wendy and Gay

 

VISUAL ARTS: Wendy Aderson & Gay Mitchell

A freelance artist, designer and art educator, Wendy Anderson is a graduate of the Bachelor of Design Program at the Alberta College of Art and Design. She has over 16 years experience teaching and working with children and is adept at engaging students of all levels, sharing her passion and knowledge of visual arts and the creative process. She is also an instructor with Learning through the Arts, a core curriculum program of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Vancouver.

Gay Mitchell studied at the Vancouver School of Art, University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, Camosun College and Regent College and received a Bachelor’s of Education at UBC. She teaches workshops to children and adults at Place des Arts, Evergreen Cultural Centre and also adjudicates and mentors emerging artists. Gay has a studio at Esplanade in Port Moody and her work is displayed locally and internationally in group and solo exhibitions.

 
Michael and Mandy

 

 
DRAMA: Michael Charrois & Mandy Tulloch
 
A professional actor, Michael Charrois has been teaching drama classes for ages 5 to adult for over 20 years. He studied acting, playwriting and directing at the University of Alberta and the Banff School of Fine Arts. He has taught for the City of Surrey, Vancouver School Board, the Edmonton International Fringe Festival and 10 years at the Stage Polaris Academy of Drama in Edmonton. As an actor, Michael has performed in hundreds of productions on stage, screen, radio and the street, and over a dozen of his plays have been produced.
 
Mandy Tulloch studied Acting/Dance/Production at the Barbara Speakes Stage School in London England along with Dance at George Brown College. A professional actor, Mandy has appeared in over a hundred commercials world-wide, had both Lead and Principal status in many TV/Film productions as well as musical theatre, pantomime and drama on stage in both England and Canada.

Visual artist Arabel Luk holds a Bachelor of Education degree with teaching certificates in Art,
English and Geography and has a post graduate diploma in Special Education. She has been
teaching art to elementary, secondary and college levels for 25 years.

 
Kyla Nam

 

KOREAN DANCE & DRUM: Kyla Nam

Kyla Nam, born in Seoul, Korea, is an artist in the traditional folk arts of her birth country. The serene traditional fan dance and powerful drum dance are two examples of these beautiful arts representing the rich history, culture and traditions of the Korean people. Kyla obtained her Masters Degree in Korean Folk Arts, and has since performed and taught in Korea, Japan, Europe, United States and Canada. Now living in Port Moody, Kyla takes pride in sharing her love and passion for these traditional arts with new audiences in her new home of Canada.

 
Caitlin Wright

DANCE: Caitlin Wright

Caitlin Wright is a professional dancer and dance teacher. She began dancing at the age of 3 with Peggy Peats School of Dance in Maple Ridge, and has performed around the Lower Mainland since she was 10 years old. She recently danced a main role at the Winter Paralympics Opening Ceremonies. Credits include performing for Queen Elizabeth II, seven years of PNE shows, the Vancouver Grizzlies Dance Team, Olympic-related events, and many
more. Caitlin also teaches a variety of dance
classes for children.
