Vivienne Pearson takes advantage of the sense of familiarity we experience with domestic textiles, such as quilting, crochet, needlepoint and knitting to explore bold new ways to interpret and share our complex global culture. Her large-scale textile assemblages - all recent works - are rich in treatment and interwoven with found objects and/or text.
