Gathie Falk / Apparel

Gathie Falk is one of British Columbia and Canada's most respected senior artists. She has been awarded the Order of Canada (1997) and the Governor General's Award (2003) for her contribution and commitment to Canadian Art. Most recently, she was a recipient of the Vancouver Arts Award in the category of the Visual Arts.
Her exhibition at Evergreen Cultural Cente was a selection of recent works, including paper mâché, bronze sculpture, photography and painted vellum sheeting and included works: Agnes, 2001 bronze, Crossed Ankles, 1998 photograph on vellum, and her series of four papier mache works, Bob, Garry, Jake and Andy 2000 - 2001.
